SEO hosting in 2012 is taking a new turn in how to get better results from the top search engines for one’s website.  SEO Hosting is a new advancement into the realm of SEO and Internet Marketing which has opened up a new avenue for webmasters to use in their SEO and Internet Marketing endeavors.

What is SEO Hosting?  It is multiple C-class hosting.  To understand what C-class hosting is, first one must understand how a URL is affected by its IP address.  Computers think in numbers where URLs are concerned.  When we want to go to say Google, we think www.google.com.  When the computer thinks about going to Google, it uses the actual IP (Internet Protocol) assigned to the URL.  An IP address looks like:  123.123.123.123.  You have three sets of numbers (considered Class A) followed by a dot “.”, then a second set of three numbers (considered Class B) followed by a dot “.”, then a third set of numbers (considered Class C), and so on.  There is no need to keep on with this because we are only concerned about Class C.

SEO (or C-Class) hosting is helping websites achieve their search engine results (SERP) ratings.  Being able to obtain the SERP ratings websites are now dominating their niches.  The ability to host multiple domains with different C-Class IPs gives one the ability to take advantage of the latest in SEO technologies.  In the past people would create multiple sites which linked back (called back linking) to their main site they were trying to get ranked high on with the search engines.  Over the years search engines have gotten smarter and are actually looking at the C-Class of the IP address.  In most cases if the backlinks are found on sites which are hosted with the same C-Class IP address these sites are not penalized by the search engines, but they are simply being ignored.  There have actually been times where these sites have been “black listed” from the search engines for using the same C-Class IPs (this is referred to as “link spamming”).  If you want to exchange links with various websites, you can check the C-Class of the websites here.

In using various different websites to create backlinks to your main site one needs to use different C-Class IP hosting in registering the different domains relating to the niche of your main website.  Backlinks are highly valued by search engines, especially if they are coming from sites with a good page rank.  Google’s PageRank (PR) is a ranking system from 0 through 10.  Just because a site is a PR10 does not necessarily mean it is a good site to link from.  Search Engine Land has a really detailed explanation of page ranking.  One wants the site to be at least a PR4 or higher to exchange links with.  When websites are hosted on the same server using the same C-Class IP Google does not even consider the backlink and moves on ignoring it.  By hosting the various websites with different C-Class IPs one is effectively and efficiently boosting their search engine rankings for the specific keywords.

SEO hosting is a life saver when it comes to SEO by giving added weight to keywords metadata, the title elements of each page, and the description of each page.  With SEO Hosting one is provided with different nameservers within all C-Class IPs.  If they were not assigned to different nameservers the linking value would be useless.  As I have time to research the different SEO Hosting providers, I’ll add them.  Right now, SEOHost looks like they have several different packages to choose from.
