Podcasts is one of many services we offer
The term podcast is formed from the words "iPod" and "broadcast." A podcast is a series of either digital audio media files, or digital video media files, that is released episodically and downloaded through web syndication. The mode of delivery differentiates podcasts from other ways of accessing media files over the Internet. Special client software applications known as podcatchers (like iTunes, Zune, Juice or Winamp) are used to automatically identify and download new files in the series when they are released, by accessing a centrally-maintained web feed that lists all files currently associated with that particular series. New files are downloaded automatically by the podcatcher and stored locally on the user's computer or other device for offline use. This makes it simpler for a user to access episodic content.
When creating an audio or video podcast for your website they need to be searchable by the search engines. They are as searchable as any text on your website. Most people don't even consider optimization when generating audio or video content for the internet. A script, RSS file, allows podcasts to be automatically transferred to a mobile device using an aggregator. Typically podcasts are saved in MP3 format.
As people watch less TV, read less newspapers, and listen to less radio, podcasting could well emerge as a critical new marketing tool. It can offer your customers more in depth information on a particular product while offering them added convenience and time savings. Podcasts provide a huge advantage over traditional media because of their content and convenience. Since free podcasting software automatically downloads new podcasts to customers' computers as soon as they're available, this makes podcasting different and truly useful as a business tool.
